2020INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT ADANI PORT Pvt. Ltd. (HAZIRA)
Creative Design & Multimedia Institute had organized an industrial visit to Adani Port Pvt. Ltd. (Hazira) on 6th january 2020. 55 students from Our Institute attended this visit. The students were accompanied by 5 Faculty members. This visit was under the Project UDAAN by Adani Foundation.Under this project, an exposure tour is organized wherein students are given a chance to visit the Adani Port and Adani Power facilities at the Hazira site and to get an insight into the large scale business activities carried out there.
AHPPL is strategically located on the west side of the Hazirapeninsula. Hazira Port handles all types of cargo including bulk, break-bulk, bulk liquidchemicals, petroleum products & edible oil, containers, automotive and crude.Adani Hazira Port is located close to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) along theWest coast of India which accounts for a major part of the Indian trade. AHPPL has excellentmultimodal connectivity to the northern, north-western and central parts of India. The Portis in middle of India’s biggest chemical manufacturing corridor i.e. south Gujarat (from Vapito Vadodra).Adani Hazira Port provides a convenient international trade gateway to Europe, Africa,America and the Middle East.
Brief Description of the Industrial Visit:
We reached the Adani Hazira Port at 9:45 am.At the entrance the security personnel gave instruction to the students& faculty members, regarding the rules to be followed at the industry premises.Then the instructions was followed by breakfast arranged by the authorities at their canteen.
After the breakfast, a brief presentation regarding the Adani Group and AHPPL was delivered by MrDinesh Devaganiya, Project Officer – CSR, Adani Foundation.
The students were briefed about the AHPPL. AHPPL deals with an import-export business of coal, etc.The port has around 169 liquid tanks and the handling of liquid is carried through pipelines directly from the ship. The port also comprises of steel yard, coal yard and bulk yard. Then students were taken to visit and observe the entire port area via bus.
Then we were taken to the Marine Control Room. They use the software “Automatic Identification System” which uses GPS technique for the positioning of the vessel. Every vessel has a unique IMO (International Maritime Organization) number and is registered through that number. The communication device works on UHF for 5-6 kms and on VHF for 120 kms. Approximately 100 ships are handled at the port per month. That implies 3-4 ships per day.
Afterwards we took lunch at the Canteen Amenities, followed by a group photo. We extend gratitude to the Adani Group, Adani Foundation for providing us a wonderful opportunity to visit their esteemed industry.
The beautiful moment was captured under the group photo tag with team members of Adani port. On returning back from Adani port to college, every budding mind in the bus was enthused as ADANI made them realize the importance of Information Technology in non IT industry.

2019Sports Mania - 2019
The much awaited Sports Day was held on Saturday 28th December 2019 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports captain. An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the event.
Students competed in events including sprints, relays, sack race, obstacle race and skipping race. Fun time with a staff relay and a tug- of- war between the houses added to the enjoyment.
